Somerset Olde Creek Stingrays

The Stingray swim team is usually less than 100 swimmers strong, ages 5 - 18, of ALL swim abilities.  Our small size has many benefits: coaches will know not only know the name of your swimmer--they will know your swimmer's strengths and personalities.  In addition, a majority of Stingray swimmers swim in both the Monday and Saturday meets. If your swimmer is just learning to swim and/or cannot swim a length of the pool, parents should contact us ([email protected]) to discuss a swimmer evaluation. 

This swim team has FUN!!!  Fun Friday morning swim practices, Friday night Potlucks, Popsicle Races for the Mini Stingrays during Monday night meets, a progressive dinner for the older swimmers, a fun social event at the pool for the younger swimmers, a voluntary Kings Dominion Trip (swimmers pay for their own tickets), Float and Float night (Root Beer Floats and Rafts), movie trip, and an end-of-season Banquet!   

The Mini Stingray program is a great starting point for younger swimmers. The goal is for the Mini Stingrays to gain confidence in the water, eventually swim the lenght of the pool, and then join the regular Stingray team!  Our Head Coach will evaluate swimmers under the age of five during the first week of practices.  Mini Stingrays are paired with the teenage Stingray swimmers during the morning Mini practices.  Mini Stingrays are considered part of the swim team: they are invited to purchase the team swimsuit,  join the team picture, and will have a great time at the Friday night potlucks!  The Mini Stingrays can swim on Monday night home meets in Popsicle races (paired with a Stingray swimmer) and they have an end-of-season Fun Mini Meet! Our practice schedule is located here: Practices - Somerset Olde Creek Stingrays (swimtopia.com). Practices are not mandatory, but swimmers are encouraged to go, because improvement comes with practice!  Yes--swimmers may go on vacation during the season!!  

The cost for the Mini Stingray program is $135.  For the regular team, the cost is $175 for the first swimmer, $160 for the second swimmer, and $145 for the third swimmer.
